Math Forum Review
I recently explored the Math Forum online math resource blog. This web resource provides a variety of problems and puzzles, online mentoring, research, collaborations, and professional development resources. It is used to help improve math education by providing these.
Although this blog had a lot of useful resources, I feel like it almost had an overwhelming amount of information. There were resources for Pre-K all the way through grad school. I feel like any resource that is trying to cover and encompass this much information cannot do it in an efficient way. The resource has so many different links and resources, and when you click on one link it takes you to another page with 100s of more links to follow. It's very hard to navigate through all of this, but if you spent a good amount of time figuring it out I could see how useful the site could be. There are a lot of lesson plans, sample problems, and activity ideas for every grade level and math subject area, but sorting through finding them is the real challenge. This resource would be really useful for anyone doing research about education because the site has information about teaching all ages. The resources would also be useful if you had a good amount of time to navigate through the site, and find the useful tools you need. If you would like to visit this website for yourself, follow this link to Math Forum.
